NFL 2013: Week 13 Thanksgiving Predictions

Thanksgiving, the best holiday of the year.

Christmas may have presents, but in my opinion, Thanksgiving is better. Why, you ask? Because Thanksgiving contains the three things I love most in life: good food, football and my family. There is nothing better than spending the day eating delicious food while watching football and being surrounded by those who mean the most to you.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and good luck with that stomach ache.

My picks were terrible last week, so here's to hoping that my picks are better this Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Picks (Home team in CAPS)

It took a while, but Matt Flynn is back under center for the Green Bay Packers.

against the rival Lions.

DETROIT over Green Bay: The Lions have been pathetic the last two weeks are not taking advantage of injuries to Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers. Detroit should have a comfortable lead in the NFC North, but losses to Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay have left them in a tie with Chicago for the division lead. Aaron Rodgers is not expected to play on Thanksgiving and with that being said I like the Lions. If Detroit commits a lot of penalties and Matthew Stafford throws a few interceptions, then Matt Flynn might lead the Packers to victory.

DALLAS over Oakland: Say all you want about how inconsistent the Cowboys are and how they have the worst defense in the league, but QB Tony Romo is the only reason they are still in the playoff picture. Romo has played very well this season and if Dallas is going to hold off the Eagles in the division it will be because of Romo. Oakland has lost their other three meetings with NFC East teams and I think their streak will continue.

Pittsburgh over BALTIMORE: I almost took the Ravens here, but the Steelers have won three straight and five of their last seven games since starting the season 0-4. Pittsburgh has played their way back into the Wild Card picture and even the AFC North for that matter. Baltimore lost to Pittsburgh once already this season and I think the Steelers will get the sweep Thanksgiving night.

Last Week: 5-8
Overall: 108-67
