NFL 2013: Week 15 Predictions

Week 15 Picks (Home team in CAPS)

DENVER over San Diego: Even on a short week and even without Wes Welker, I still liked the Broncos in this one. A loss would just about eliminate the Chargers from playoff contention, but they found a way to win to keep their playoff chances alive Thursday night.

Washington over ATLANTA: RGIII is going to be shut down for the year and I agree with head coach Mike Shanahan's decision. Why risk getting your franchise quarterback injured in meaningless games? This also gives the Redskins a chance to see what Kirk Cousins can do. Atlanta is terrible and I think Cousins will play well enough to give Washington only their second road win of the season.

Chicago over CLEVELAND: Jay Culter will reportedly start at quarterback and whether you agree with it or not. I know Josh McCown has played well in place of Cutler, but I believe that Jay gives the Bears the best chance to win. Either way, the Bears will win Sunday in Cleveland.

INDIANAPOLIS over Houston: The Texans will make it 12 straight losses on Sunday.

New England over MIAMI: New England will miss Rob Gronkowski, who suffered torn ACL last week, but I still think they will beat the Dolphins down in South Beach.

Philadelphia over MINNESOTA: Philadelphia controls their own destiny and with the way QB Nick Foles has been playing, I expect to see the Eagles in the playoffs.

Seattle over NY GIANTS: Seattle is a different team away from CenturyLink Field, but they are still better than New York, who is having a very disappointing season.

San Francisco over TAMPA BAY: Tampa has been playing much better the last month, but I still like the 49ers to win on the road. I expect a physical game nonetheless.

JACKSONVILLE over Buffalo: Jaguars have won three in a row and I think they'll make it four in a row with a win against the Bills.

Kansas City over OAKLAND: Kansas gains a game on Denver with another win against division rival Oakland.

CAROLINA over NY Jets: The Panthers saw their eight game win streak come to an end last Sunday night in New Orleans, but I look for them to start another winning streak by beating the dreadful Jets.

Green Bay over DALLAS: Even though Aaron Rodgers has been ruled out for a sixth straight game, I still like the Packers. The Cowboys' defense is the worst in the league, plus every time I pick Dallas, they lose. Green Bay wins this one.

Arizona over TENNESSEE: The Cardinals need to win if they have any hopes of catching the Panthers or 49ers for the last Wild Card spot and I think they will. But they will need some help if they are going to make the playoffs.

New Orleans over ST. LOUIS: The Saints should put a lot of points in this one, setting up a terrific matchup with the NFC South division title on the line next week in Carolina.

DETROIT over Baltimore: Detroit needs a win in the worst way as they try and hold off Chicago and Green Bay in the division. Baltimore is 1-5 on the road this season and with that being said, I think the Lions will get the win behind a strong game from Calvin Johnson.

Mike Tomlin was fined $100,000 for his sideline stunt against the Ravens.

Bengals over STEELERS: Watching the Bengals play this season has been full of jubilation and frustration just like any other year, but this year's team is one of the best Cincinnati teams I have ever seen. Why, you ask? Because of the defense. Mike Zimmer should win Coach of the Year for the job he has done this season. The Bengals defense is arguably the best in the league, no matter who is or who isn't out there. I thought they would struggle without Geno Atkins and Leon Hall, but for the most part, the team really hasn't missed them. All the players have stepped up their game and I know I keep saying it, but as long as Andy Dalton doesn't turn the ball over, this team could go very far in the playoffs.

The Bengals will face a tough test Sunday night in Pittsburgh, but they'll win as long as Mike Tomlin doesn't try and trip someone from the sidelines. I still can't believe he did that, "C'mon Man!"

This Week: 0-1
Last Week: 12-4
Overall: 131-77
