NFL: Week 13 Recap

It's begun to snow in the city of the Cincinnati, which can only mean that winter is here and the football season is coming to an end. Only four weeks remain, thank God for the Bengals, but for most teams they are trying to make that final playoff push. Every game matters and every team has to play their best week in and week out and their is no room for error late in the season.

So, for the final few weeks of the season and on into next season, I am going to toughen up my "Holy Crap" performers. A player is really going to play unbelievable football and having me saying "Holy Crap" not once, but twice to make the list. I'm looking for guys who left it all out on the field and gave performances that we will be talking about for the rest of the season and on into the next.

Now for the performances that had me saying, "Holy Crap" not once, but twice and yelling, "C'mon Man."

"Holy Crap"
GB-QB Aaron Rodgers: 21-30, 298 yds, 3 TD; QB Rating 135.1

GB-WR Greg Jennings: 6 rec, 122 yds, 2 TD. The Rodgers to Jennings combo is one of the best in the league.

PHI-QB Michael Vick: 22-33, 302 yds, 2 TD, INT; QB Rating 103.4; 10 car, 48 yds, TD. Vick is one fun player to watch.

MIN-RB Adrian Peterson: 16 car, 107 yds, 3 TD. Peterson was questionable coming into the game with an injured ankle and he still put up monster numbers. Imagine what he would have done had he been 100%.

MIN-WR Sidney Rice: 5 rec, 105 yds, 2 TD

IND-WR Reggie Wayne: 14 rec, 200 yds, TD. As Chris Berman would say, "Stately Wayne Manor."

NO-QB Drew Brees: 24-29, 313 yds, 2 TD, INT; QB Rating 120.3. Brees lead the Saints to a game winning touchdown drive with under a minute to go in the 4th quarter and on the drive he got Bengals DT Pat Sims to jump offside on a 4th and 2 with 34 seconds left. The Bengals were simply torched by Brees and the Saints on Sunday.

SEA-RB Marshawn Lynch: 21 car, 83 yds, 3 TD. The first good game I can ever remember Lynch having. Seattle is 6-6, but in first place in the NFC West. "Holy Crap."

JAC-RB Maurice Jones-Drew: 31 car, 186 yds

BAL-WR Anquan Boldin: 5 rec, 118 yds, TD. It's games like this that show why the Ravens went out and traded for Boldin.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots: Brady (21-29, 326 yds, 4 TD; QB Rating 148.9) and the Patriots dominated the Jets in every facet of the game and flat out embarrassed them on Monday Night Football.

"C'mon Man"
IND-QB Peyton Manning: 36-48, 365 yds, 2 TD, 4 INT; QB Rating 75.4. Two of those picks were returned for touchdowns and I never thought I would be giving Peyton Manning a "C'mon Man" two weeks in a row, but the Colts are 6-6 and may not make the playoffs. Hard to imagine.

ARI-QB Derek Anderson: 7-20, 93 yds, INT; QB Rating 29.8. I don't Anderson is laughing at this performance, "C'mon Man." The Cardinals QB situation is laughable though.

DEN-QB Kyle Orton and the Denver Broncos: Orton (9-28, 117 yds; QB Rating 46.3) and the Broncos are 5-17 (3-9 this season) since starting last season 6-0.

MIA-QB Chad Henne: 16-32, 174 yds, TD, 3 INT; QB Rating 37.8

TEN-QB Kerry Collins: 14-32, 169 yds, 2 INT; QB Rating 34.5.

NYJ-QB Mark Sanchez: 17-33, 164 yds, 3 INT; QB Rating 27.8

The QB play: As you might have noticed, most of the this weeks "C'mon Man" performers are quarterbacks. Besides a handful of guys, the play of most of the quarterbacks this season has been pretty bad. Just goes to show how important good quarterback play is because all of these guys teams lost this week. "C'mon Man."

Cincinnati Bengals: Found the 692nd different way to lose a football game. This time, jump offsides (DT Pat Sims the guilty party) on 4th and 2 with less than a minute to ago and up by 3, and then let the Saints score the game winning touchdown on the next play. Another great job Bengals. Oh, and Marvin Lewis didn't challenge a play because he couldn't find the challenge flag. Wow.

The Cincinnati Bearcat: At the UC/Pitt game on Saturday, the UC Bearcat was arrested by police for starting a snowball fight and refusing to stop when asked by police. Needless to say, a video of the ordeal surfaced on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrQapdkQi5A and it was all over ESPN and got a "C'mon Man" from Cincinnatian Tom Jackson on ESPN Monday Night Countdown. I don't see anything wrong with a snowball fight, but I'm not a cop. More bad press for Cincinnati sports, "C'mon Man."
