NFL: Week 15

A lot of playoff races can be won or lost this weekend and then there is the Bengals v. Browns. No playoff race there and probably won't be for quite some time. The game is blacked out, no surprise there because who really wants to watch these two teams in the freezing cold December weather. I know, I don't. Here are my Week 15 picks, saving the Bengals for last.

Week 15
San Diego over San Francisco: After last weeks thumping of the Chiefs, the Chargers showed they are still a threat to win the AFC West and they should improve to 8-6 with a win against the 49ers.

Dallas over Washington: Even though the Cowboys are 4-9 they still have the talent to win. I watch owner Jerry Jones' interview last Sunday on 60 minutes and I was very impressed. Unlike Mike Brown, Jones is committed to winning and will do anything to get to another Super Bowl. Who doesn't want to play for an owner like that? Plus, their stadium is just amazing, 10 times better than Paul Brown Stadium. The Redskins are a mess from the front office, coaches, players, you name it. I'll take the Cowboys at home.

Houston over Tennessee: The Texans made a great comeback against the Ravens Monday night and despite their 5-8 record they are better than the Titans. Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson put up big numbers as Houston wins on the road.

Indianapolis over Jacksonville: With a win the Jaguars clinch the AFC South, but Peyton Manning and the Colts stand in the way. The game is in Indy and the division title still goes through Peyton and the Colts. In the end I think the Colts can still win the division and they take the first step to achieving that with a win on Sunday.

Kansas City over St. Louis: Chiefs QB Matt Cassel is expected to play and that should help Kansas City recover from the beating they took from the Chargers last week without him. Even with a loss, the Rams still have a chance to win the NFC West.

Miami over Buffalo: Despite the Dolphins pathetic performance on offense and Chad Henne's struggles, I like Miami to beat the Bills.

Tampa Bay over Detroit: The Lions were finally able to win a division game last week against the Packers, but I'm sure Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers getting hurt helped their cause. Still, Tampa has had a nice season and the Lions never win on the road.

Arizona over Carolina: God only knows who will win this game. To be honest your guess is as good as mine and I could really care less. Cardinals kicker Jay Feely scored 25 points for the Arizona last week, needs to do that again if the Cardinals are to win.

New Orleans over Baltimore: After watching the Ravens fall apart Monday night against the Texans, it is cause for concern. The Ravens have had trouble finishing games and you have to play a full 60 minutes against the Saints. A great matchup between Drew Brees and the New Orleans offense against Ray Lewis and the Ravens defense, with the Saints coming out on top.

Philadelphia over NY Giants: The winner of this game will take control of the NFC East division lead and I expect that team to be the Eagles. Philadelphia beat the Giants once already this season and I think Mike Vick beats the Giants once again.

Atlanta over Seattle: Atlanta is the best team in the NFC, the Seahawks aren't. Another easy win for the Falcons.

Pittsburgh over NY Jets: Mark Sanchez and the Jets are really struggling and until he figures it out the Jets may not win another game this season. The Steelers win behind there defense.

Oakland over Denver: Denver has been just dreadful and the Raiders are tough to beat in the Black Hole. RB Darren McFadden should have another big game.

New England over Green Bay: The Patriots are hotter than a chestnut roasting on an open fire and with Aaron Rodgers coming back from a concussion, the Packers don't have much of a chance. And theirs a 40% chance of snow showers in Foxboro Sunday and there is no better snow team than the Patriots, just ask the Bears.

Chicago over Minnesota: Despite the Bears losing their snowball fight with the Patriots last week, they should be the Vikings who may or may not have Brett Favre. With or without him I like the Bears.

And...
Bengals over Cleveland: Yes, I'm taking the Bengals once again. Why? I don't know. To be honest, the way the Bengals are playing, it's amazing that they have won any games this season. If the Bengals can stop the Browns RB Peyton Hillis and Carson doesn't throw any pick sixes, they have a chance. But if Hillis runs for over 100 yards and Carson turns the ball over, they will set the franchise record with their 11th straight loss. A win will really not hurt their draft position either, so why not. Bengals win, but probably won't. Who-Dey.

Last Week: 11-5
Overall: 128-80
